Okonjo-Iweala shares her thoughts on Forbes' 2023 list of the most influential women globally.

The Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, expressed her honor for being included in the 2023 Forbes list of the most powerful women globally. Released on December 5, 2023, the list considered key metrics like money, media, impact, and spheres of influence.
The list featured 100 women excelling in diverse fields such as politics, business, technology, media, and entertainment. Okonjo-Iweala secured the 87th spot, while popular media personality Mo Abudu was listed at 98.
In response, Okonjo-Iweala, via her social media handle, expressed her genuine honor at being named among Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women in the World for the seventh time, starting in 2011. She extended congratulations to Mo Abudu and all women recognized for their efforts, appreciating those working hard to make a difference, whether acknowledged on the list or not.
She wrote, “Feel truly honoured to be named one more time as one of the @Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women in the world. This will be the 7th time, starting in 2011. Congratulations to all the women on this list working hard to make a difference and to others working hard to change the world even if they are not on the list. Special congratulations to my younger sister @MoAbudu, great to have two Nigerian women on this list.”
