 EIGHTEEN PUPILS FALL ILL FROM OSUN STATE GOVERNMENT-SPONSORED SCHOOL FEEDING:

Reports indicate that no fewer than eighteen pupils fell ill after consuming food provided by the O-Meal program, part of the Osun state's government-sponsored school feeding initiative.

 Osun's Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, confirmed Governor Ademola Adeleke's dissatisfaction over the incident and initiated an investigation into the alleged poisoning of pupils. The governor was informed by his Special Adviser on O-Meal, Grace Oluwaseyi Ayodele. Nathaniel Ojetola, Chairman of the Local Government Education Authority, reported that 18 pupils were promptly taken to a hospital, treated, and discharged. Adeleke ordered a halt to cooking at the affected school pending investigations and scheduled a meeting on Tuesday with cooks and the O-Meal program's Planning officer.
