Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have been told not to travel at night. The director of the NYSC North Area Office, Kehinde Aremu-Cole, shared this advice during a speech to corps members at the orientation camp for the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream 2.
Mr. Aremu-Cole emphasized the importance of safety, mentioning the heartbreaking experience for parents if a child were to be lost in a car accident during national service due to unnecessary night travel.
Update4Wazobia that delivered this advice during his visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Yikpata, located in Kwara State’s Edu Local Government Area.
He encouraged corps members to resist any temptation or situation that might lead them to take a journey at night. Additionally, he assured the corps members that they should accept their postings with a positive attitude. The purpose of their service to the country, he clarified, is to make a significant impact on the various communities they are assigned to.
